Submersible Vacuum Switchgear This compact, maintenance-free vacuum switchgear, built with #304 stainless steel, is designed to be totally submerged with top access or side-mounted for walk-in vault applications. Your choice of either SF6 or liquid insulation is available. We also offer your choice of either Trayer or conventional drywell fuse holders, or Trayer liquid-insulated Universal Fusewells. In addition to our standard line of switchgear, we will custom design submersible switches that meet your specifications. For example, we can design switches that replicate the tank size and bushing layout of your existing equipment. This means economical switch replacement with no cable splicing. Control options include a design, unique only to Trayer, that allows the use of a single rope attached to the switch to open or close it safely. This means pulley-free operation from most any location. AC or DC motor operators are available with push-button, ATO or SCADA controls.
