Replacement for Live Front Air-Insulated Switchgear Trayer’s line of replacement switchgear was developed for customers wishing to move to the reliability of maintenance-free equipment without the need to modify their existing pads. This design allows for an easy change-out from air-insulated equipment to sealed, dead front switchgear. The footprint for this product line is the same common 15 kV footprint for 4-way, live front equipment. The bushings are positioned horizontally and lowered to permit the addition of cable terminations many times without having to splice in additional cable length. For protection, this product line is available with three-phase 3000 Series VFIs, single-phase 4000 Series VFIs or current-limiting fuses.
