The Trayer Drywell Submersible Air-Insulated Fuse Assembly provides reliable, maintenance-free, current-limiting fuse protection for underground electrical distribution systems. This fuse assembly is rated up to 100 Amps continuous current with a single barrel full range current-limiting 15.5 kV fuse and 80 Amps with a 23 kV rated fuse. 200 Amp non current-limiting fuses rated 15.5 kV are also available. The patented fuse assembly uses the latest convection technology for cooling the fuse, doubling the continuous current of any other conventional drywell at 8.3 kV and above. This unique design does not require liquid or SF6 for cooling or insulation.

Fuse replacement is a safe, quick and easy in-the-field operation. When the loadbreak elbow is removed and parked it provides a visible disconnect prior to fuse removal. The fault close rating of the elbow guarantees safe fault closing with the elbow rather than the fuse.
